Academy Fellow Bernard A. Lietaer

Bernard Lietaer, one of the original architects of the convergence mechanism for the European single currency, author of "Of Human Wealth: beyond Greed and Scarcity" and "The Future of Money" is a Fellow at the Center for Sustainable Resources at the University of California at Berkeley, Visiting Professor at the Marpa Center for Economics and Business, and Chairman of the ACCESS Foundation, an educational non-profit focusing on best practices in monetary innovations.

He has been active in the domain of money systems for a period of 25 years in an unusual variety of functions from Academic to Central Banker, from President of Electronic Payment Systems to currency trader.
