Jim Thompson's mission is to "transform youth sports so sports can transform youth." He is the author or Positive Coaching: Building Character and Self-Esteem Through Sports and Shooting in the Dark: Tales of Coaching and Leadership. Prior to starting PCA, he served for ten years as Director of the Public and Global Management Programs at the Graduate School of Business at Stanford where he teaches courses on leadership and coaching. He is a member of the board of directors of Special Olypmics, Inc.
